5 Great Uses for Self Storage

Being someone that has moved around a lot (due to my husband being in the Army), I have rented a couple self storage units. They're a really great and fairly inexpensive way of storing various types of items. Most cities have at least one self storage facility so, it shouldn't be too hard to find them. In Florida where I live, I know that there are at least 10 Tampa Storage centers just in my immediate area. Storage is definitely something that I'm sure most of us can use more of. Below are 5 great uses for it.

  1. Moving - Both times that I needed a sef storage unit was due to me moving out of state. At the time of moving I could not take all of my belongings -- especially larger items like furniture.
  2. Not enough space in your home - Let's face it, sometimes you have to sacrafice space just to live in an affordable home. I can definitely vouch for this. You may not have enough space in your home for all of your items; this is when a self storage unit would really be beneficial.
  3. Home based businesses - If you sell for a living and have to house your own inventory, it can be inconvenient to keep all of your things in your home. A storage unit can serve as your own personal supply warehouse.
  4. Office space - Believe it or not, some units offer electricity and even heat/AC. This makes it a perfect, inexpensive office space and gives you the opportunity to work away from home. Of course, you'll want to make sure that this is ok beforehand with a staff member so that there are no issues.
  5. Spare closet - If you're someone that has a huge warddrobe and small closet, it can be very frustrating trying to fit everything in that tiny space; trust me, I know. You can use your storage unit to store out of season clothes (ie. Store winter clothes in the spring and summer.)

Storage units come in all kinds of sizes. So, whether you need a small space or a lot of space, you'll definitely be accomodated. Many self storage facilities are gated which are great for added protection. Most gated facilities allow 24/7 access while some are only open during a certain time period each day. Be sure to know the facts before you choose a permanant self storage home.

An Easy Way to Earn Cash Writing Reviews on your Blog

Blog Advertising - Advertise on blogs with SponsoredReviews.com

Are you looking for an easy way to make money with your blog? Why not try Sponsored Reviews? I have been using it for about a year and a half now and have had good results thus far. I can definitely vouch for them and say that they DO pay - and ON TIME might I add! They pay on a bi-weekly basis via PayPal which is nice.

If you have a blog with a decent pagerank (PR3 and up) you can make a nice amount of money per review. Depending on how your blog ranks in their system, they will give you a price range (min - max) that you can choose to charge for your reviews.

Each day their list of opportunities is updated with requests from advertisers. You can then choose which opps you want to bid on and the amount that you want to bid. Each offer will have a different max bid amount. It's better not to bid that max amount unless you have a highly ranked blog! If an advertiser does not like your bid they can decline or make a counteroffer with a lower cost.

For more FAQs you should definitely check out their help section. If you are looking to make blogging a career or even if you just want to make some extra cash each month, Sponsored Reviews is definitely worth your while.

If you're looking to build buzz about your website or a new product, etc Sponsored Reviews can also help you with that! Plus, since you can name your own price, it's easy to stay within your budget. I really wouldn't go below $5 though because bloggers only receive 50% of the bid price and honestly, $2.50 is not worth it for most of the listed opportunities.

Good luck!

Redlands University Unique Degree Programs

With the horrible state of the economy, many people are now going back to school to pursue high earning careers. I am one of those that has been considering going back to get a bachelor’s degree. I currently have an Associate’s degree and a Business Diploma and they both are getting me nowhere. I definitely need something more along the lines of a business degree or even better some type of Internet related degree.

I recently came across Redlands University, a California business school and noticed that they offer some great academic programs and have an excellent reputation to match!

Here are a few of the programs of study that interest me:

Communicative Disorders - Mainly I listed this because it's a unique program that I have never even heard of - though it has been part of their campus for more than 50 years!

Creative Writing - As most of you know, I love writing. When I was in college we took creating writing courses but never had an actual major for it. I think it would be pretty cool to have a major based on more creative type writing rather than journalism.

Meditation Room - Something else I've never heard of a school having. Though it's listed under the programs of study, I think this is more of a place of relaxation for students.

"The Meditation Room is equipped with 28 zabutons (square meditation cushions) and 28 zafus (round meditation cushions), 28 yoga mats, kneeling benches, folding chairs, and a cubbyhole at the door for shoes and back packs."

Race & Ethnic Studies - This is definitely not a program of study for close minded or light hearted people. This is a program that I definitely wouldn't mind having as a double major with something else!

Women's and Gender Studies - It's interesting to see a whole major based around this. Once again, when I was in college we had courses on this but not a whole major. Of course, that was about 10 years ago; my how things have changed.

Maybe you want to become a teacher or you already have a bachelor’s degree and want to get a master’s degree, this school covers all of that for you.

So if you're in the Los Angeles area and looking for a great Southern California university, definitely check out Redlands. It's actually ranked as a top university on the Forbes list - which definitely says a lot!
